A Make-or-Break season for Chris Paul?
Chris Paul, one of the five best basketball players on the planet and arguably the best point guard in the league, must be feeling really different these days. For the first time in his life, Paul has to prove that he deserves "the best point guard alive" title. Almost everyone will agree that he’s a top notch point guard, but great players are judged by what they do in the postseason. Unfortunately, Paul’s postseason record has been unimpressive to say the least. Paul has gotten past the first round of playoffs just twice and has never made it to the conference finals. Carmelo Anthony who is mocked for similar reasons, has an equally bad playoff record (23-42). This season might be the season that both rise above their bad luck. Paul is in his second year at Los Angeles Clippers and they look a very strong offensive team. Anything short of a conference finals will be considered a disappointment and Chris Paul might see his career spiral down thereafter. Paul, is my favourite point guard and I really hope that the MVP of All-Star 2013 has a scintillating season because great players deserve great things.
