Triggering Transfer Market
The next few weeks would be interesting. Clubs are trying hard to prevent their top players from making a move out of the club. While Madrid is busy negotiating a deal for Gareth Bale, the success of that deal would start a flutter in the transfer market. Tottenham will have plenty of cash in hand and would be out in the transfer market to buy some good players. Reports say that AVB is interested in buying four star players with the money that he would receive from the sale of the Welsh winger.
Meanwhile Manchester United have not made a single big signing so far. If Wayne Rooney succeeds in engineering his move away from Old Trafford , pressure would build up on new manager David Moyes to sign a big name. If latest transfer rumors are to be believed Cristiano Ronaldo could make a move back to his previous club Manchester United which he left in 2009. Contract talks between the players representative and Real Madrid have not reached any conclusion . Also adding fuel to the speculation is the fact that the iconic number seven jersey is laying vacant at Old Trafford after Valencia decided to move to another jersey number this season.
Liverpool meanwhile are adamant that they won’t allow Suarez join another Premiere League club. Initially it was expected that Madrid would make an offer for Suarez. However they look preoccupied in their efforts to bring Gareth Bale to Santiago Bernabeau and have thus failed to table in a single bid for the Uruguayan. Meanwhile Arsenal were the only club that showed interest. But it looks highly unlikely that the deal would materialize considering the fact that Liverpool would be battling it out with Arsenal this season to get in the top four. To strengthen their rivals would be the last thing on Brendan Rodger’s mind.
There is still plenty to be witnessed in the transfer market before it closes on deadline day. Any one of these incidents could trigger a series of activity in the transfer market that would eventually determine how the clubs would perform this season.
