Steven Gerrard hints about his retirement after 2014 World Cup

Steven Gerrard one of the greatest English midfielder hinted about his retirement.He says that he has reached 33years of age and he does not expect to play after the 2014 world cup as he feels that he has to walk away for new players. Steven Gerrard feels that the England team have got a number of talented young players to replace him. Gerrard said at a press conference that he has got to assume it is his last year. He could not assume that he is going to be in the England team two or three years time.He feels that by 2014 world cup it will be time for him to retire from the international football . He has played much of his career as centre midfielder.He has been very successful as the England captain and has been part of the team successes.He has led the the team for more than 100 matches as captain. His achievements include two FA Cups,three League Cups, two Community Shields, one Champions League, one UEFA Cup, and two Super Cups.He was able to perform well for his country and has exhibited leadership qualities which gave him the role as a captain.He made his international debut against Ukraine on 31 May 2000.Gerrard started out playing for hometown team Whiston Juniors, where he was noticed by Liverpool. He signed his first professional contract with Liverpool on 5 November 1997..He said that he has to make the most of every single game since he might be out of the picture in a years time and want to make the most of every moment in the field.
