: Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has launched a shock bid to bring Chelsea striker Demba Ba, 28, back to the club he left seven months ago.

Chelsea
: Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho hopes to compensate for missing out on Wayne Rooney by signing Anzhi Makhachkala’s Samuel Eto’o, 32, and FC Porto’s Christian Atsu, 21.
: Cameroon striker Eto’o has been unveiled as a Chelsea player.

Sunderland
: Sunderland face a battle with Rennes to land Senegal defender Cheikh M’Bengue, 25.
