Champions League Group Stage Match Day 1 continues

After a pulsating first day of group stage where 30 goals were scored in Groups A, B, C and D, it is time for some action in group E, F, G and H tonight.

The Big Match: Napoli v/s Borussia Dortmund
The specialist of European football, Rafael Benitez’s Napoli entertain last season’s beaten finalists Borussia Dortmund in today’s pick of the fixture with both the teams knowing very well that a win in the first fixture is utmost important given that they are part of the Group of Death (Group F) of this season’s Champions League. The other match of Group F is between Olympic Marseille and Arsenal.

In tonight’s other big game, Barcelona entertain four times winner Ajax Amsterdam at the Camp Nou in their Group H fixture. Brazilian superstar Neymar is expected to make his debut in the Champions’ League. The other game in group H is between AC Milan and Celtic.

In Group E, Jose Mourinho starts his second innings with Chelsea in the Champions League against Swiss powerhouse FC Basel. In the other match of Group E, the uber talented Julian Draxler’s Schalke side entertains Romanian champions Steaua Bucharest.

In an interesting Group G, high flying Atletico Madrid returns to action in the Champions League for the first time since the 2009-10 season. However they will be facing a formidable opponent in Zenit St. Petersburg of Russia. The final fixture of Match day 1 will be between the perennial darkhorse Porto away against Austria Wien.
