NBA Preseason: How it's shaping up

New York Knicks 91, Toronto Raptors 100
DeMar DeRozan scored 20 points on Friday night to lead the Raptors to a 100-91 victory over Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks. Dwight Buycks added 10 points in 18 minutes off the bench for the Raptors, who outscored the Knicks 30-17 in the fourth quarter to fight back for the win. Anthony led the Knicks with 24 points, eight rebounds and three assists in just 25 minutes of play, while Metta World Peace added 13 points and six rebounds off the bench. New York shot just 39.6 percent from the floor on Friday, hitting on just 5-of-24 attempts from three-point range.

Boston Celtics 85, Philadelphia 76ers 97
Boosted by a big first half, the 76ers held off a late charge by the Celtics on Friday night in Philadelphia. Thaddeus Young led the 76ers with 20 points and six rebounds, adding three steals while hitting on 9-of-15 from the floor. The Celtics chose to play their starters a bit more sparingly, with Jared Sullinger leading Boston with 19 points off the bench and adding nine rebounds in 23 minutes of action. Boston was just 36.0 percent from the floor, while the 76ers hit on just over 49 percent of their shots.

Cleveland Cavaliers 110, Orlando Magic 105
Led by No. 1 overall draft pick Anthony Bennett, the Cavaliers rallied with 25 points in the fourth quarter to beat the Orlando Magic on Friday night. Bennett scored 14 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter, while grabbing four rebounds in 22 minutes of action off the bench. The Cavs outscored the Magic 61-43 in the second half, with starting guard Dion Waiters leading the team with 21 points, three assists and two rebounds in 25 minutes. The Magic hit on 51.3 percent from the floor in the loss, with center Nikola Vecuvic leading Orlando with 15 points and six rebounds in the game. Guard Victor Oladipo added 18 points off the bench, yet was minus-11 overall in 30 minutes of action.

Charlotte Bobcats 75, Miami Heat 86
LeBron James scored 20 points on Friday as the Miami Heat beat the Bobcats, 86-75, at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Udonis Haslem added 11 rebounds and two points in just 16 minutes of action, while Norris Cole lead the Heat with 15 points and four assists in 26 minutes off the bench. Al Jefferson, with 11 points and seven rebounds in 23 minutes, was the only Bobcats starter to eclipse double-digits on Friday night. Jeffrey Taylor added 10 points off the bench, with Charlotte shooting just 38 percent from the floor in the loss.

Utah Jazz 86, Portland Trailblazers 96
Reigning NBA Rookie of the Year Damian Lillard scored 23 points on Friday night to lead the Trailblazers to a 96-86 victory over the Jazz. LaMarcus Aldridge added 20 points in just 18 minutes of action, hitting on 8-of-9 from the floor while adding eight points and two assists. Forward Gordon Hayward led the Jazz with 20 points in 26 minutes of action, with Utah electing to spread the minutes out to the bench in the game. Center Enes Kanter took full advantage, grabbing six rebounds and scoring 11 points in 23 minutes off the bench in the loss.
