Pakistan vs South Africa : 2nd Day stumps
On the end of the 2nd day, the Pakistan dug-out will definitely be the more happier one. Pakistan ended the day with 267 on board for the loss of 3 wickets, and already leading by 14 runs.
Pakistan made a short work of the South African tail, as they finished off the South African innings within 4 overs. While Amla departed for a well-composed 118, Steyn was the last man to be dismissed, for 15.
Pakistan started off the innings in a best way possible, with the openers Shan Masood and Khurram Manzoor stiching together a 135 run opening partnership. While debutant Shan Masood departed before scoring a well deserved century, Manzoor carried on to score a brilliant 131*.
After the loss of Masood, South African pacers tried to get back into the game after dismissing Azhar Ali and Younis Khan in quick time, but the Pakistan’s batting mainstay came to the rescue, again. Misbah and well settled Khurram Manzoor stiched together a patient 85 run partnership, and ended the day without furthur casualities.
South African bowlers will look to come better off tomorrow. Robin Peterson, their only spinner, looked out of sorts, and even Dale Steyn had a bad day at work. While South Africa would like to take the new ball soon tomorrow and take some quick wickets, whereas Pakistan would like to build up a big lead. The current batting partnership will be crucial, as the batsmen coming thereafter lack much experience, and South African bowlers could tear them apart.
