India vs Australia : 4rd ODI Preview
India and Australia will lock horns at Ranchi in the 4th ODI of the 7 match series. While the Australians will be upbeat, after snatching the win away from the Indians, India would like to improve their bowling, and equalise the series 2-2.
The Indian team will be quite let down after their loss at Mohali. It was a match they should have won, but they couldn’t. No more use of blaming Ishant for the "mistake". Rather, it is time to buckle up. It would be interesting as to what combination of bowlers Dhoni fields at Ranchi. Considering its flat nature, he would definitely re-consider playing Ishant. As far as batting is concerned, it looks fine, but the middle order looks a tad weak, as it was exposed in Mohali.
Australia have done their homework well. Their batting is above par, if not great. Also, they are sticking well to their basics. Speed has been their + point, and using Johnson effectively in this series have been their bull’s eye. He troubled Indian batsmen with sheer pace. Faulkner has been impressive, both with bat and bowl. In ODI’s , they look more determined and focused, as compared to their performance in tests.
It will be a close battle, as both of them will be raring to go. While India would like to make up the loss with a comeback win, the Aussies would like to keep the momentum going on. The toss will play a crucial role with Ranchi being a typical Indian pitch, flat at the start and cracks up while the match progresses.
Brace yourself for an exciting match!
