Champions League Match Day 3 continues
The Big Match: Real Madrid v/s Juventus
Real Madrid plays their eternal rivals Barcelona next weekend in a blockbuster La Liga tie but they face an equally illustrious opponent in Juventus tonight. Real Madrid are in scintillating form this season in the Champions League having already scored 10 goals in two matches with Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in breathtaking form having scored 5 goals already. Antonio Conte’s Juventus, fresh from a devastating loss to Italian rivals Fiorentina, need to pick up points at the Santiago Bernabeu after drawing their opening two European fixtures. A win for Juventus will take them to the second place whereas nine time winners Real Madrid can move a step closer to qualification for the Round of 16 with another victory.
In Group A, a Manchester United side struggling in the Premier League, would want to put away their domestic woes behind when they welcome Real Sociedad, who would love to open their account in their maiden Champions League campaign. Bayer Leverkusen entertains Shakhter Donetsk at home with both teams looking to get maximum points from the tie.
In the other Group B, Galatasaray will welcome FC Copenhagen to Turk Telecom Arena with both the teams looking for a win which can be invaluable considering one of Real Madrid or Juventus might slip up in Madrid.
In Group C, Paris St. Germain are away at Belgian Champion Anderlecht trying to keep their perfect record intact. Benfica play against Greek side Olympiakos Piraeus in the other game of Group C.
Manchester City face a difficult match away against CSKA Moscow knowing very well that this fixture may go a long way in deciding who qualifies for the knockout stages from Group D along with the formidable Bayern Munich. Bayern entertains Viktoria Plzen at home in the other match in Group D.
