Can Moyes drive ManUnited to victory against Gunners?

"They say he’s an intelligent man, right? Speaks five languages. I’ve got a 15-year-old boy from the Ivory Coast who speaks five languages!".Doesn’t need a second guess, a person of what stature can take a shot like that on Arsene Wenger.A glorious era of Manchester United came to an end with retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, hailed to be the greatest football manager and a wizard of mind games .It was never an easy task to replace such a man and David Moyes is no exception. In their first season under new manager David Moyes, United have already suffered three defeats and two draws in their opening eight league matches this term.

With fifteen days more to go for the much awaited clash against Arsenal at Old trafford,Man United, unusually, find themselves eight points adrift of their rivals.Premier league encounters till now have been a nightmare by ManU standards, thanks to few good performances in Champions league which has lend them a saving face. Defeats against rivals Liverpool and Manchester City stung, but draw with Southampton was a real downer.United have played eleven games this season in all competitions and they’ve been close to their best in perhaps two of them. The victories against Bayer Leverkusen and Swansea saw team play some scintillating attacking football, but still one could see the hints of shakyness in few stretches.

Moyes is facing a stiff challenge on team formation front aggravated by his juggling moves on the first XI.Wayne Rooney, playing higher up the pitch as a second striker, has lost out his relevance in central midfield.Marouane Fellaini has arrived has looked sluggish and his lack of pace exposed alongside Michael Carrick.Besides the regulars - Patrice Evra, Michael Carrick, Rooney and Van Persie, the rest of the side has been unpredictable in most of the games.Moyes started the season with a back four of Evra-Ferdinand-Vidic-Jones, but the Southampton match featured Evra-Evans-Jones-Rafael. Talents like Ashley Young, Nani and Shinji Kagawa have found themselves being in and out of the side frequently.

Arsenal on the other side, has become a tough opponent with its forwards striking at anything they are getting and midfield doing a splendid job.Gunners have been historically seen as late starters in Premier league but this time they are cruising along with Wenger’s moves. But not to forget,Man Utd had the last laugh at Old Trafford last year with a 2-1 victory over gunners.ManUnited has a history of making comebacks and this could be the moment for them.

Arsenal's next three games read - Chelsea (Capital One Cup), Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund (away). Can't see them winning at Old Trafford. PS: Great article except for the reference of Man United as "Man U".
