SL wins third ODI to level series

Sri Lanka won the third and last match by 36 runs under the D/L method to level the series 1-1. Earlier New Zealand won the toss and decided to field first. Sri Lanka started off well with both openers Dilshan and Jayawardena smashing few deliveries over the rope. Due to rain interference the match was reduced to 33 overs. Sri Lanka posted a modest total of 211-8 with Dilshan getting a half century and Senanayake and Herath smashing 27 from the last 11 balls. New Zealand on the other hand, had a shaky start with losing all 6 batsman at a score of 63. Although Jimmy Neesham and last match hero Nathan McCullum smashed another 63 of 36 balls but due to bad light, match was stopped. Sri Lanka won the match by 36 runs. Rangana Herath and Sachithra Senanayake proved fruitful with their bowling too and Sachithra Senanayake was declared the man of match. Dilshan was declared man of the series.
