IS PSG GOOD ENOUGH TO COMMAND THE EUROPE?

PSG turned its game to high gear by investing on star players when its major investments were bought by Qatar investment authority in 2011. It went on to become sole shareholder of club in 2012. The investments didn’t go waste as PSG ended their 19 year drought of league title lead by incredible Swedish Ibrahimovic. They did stamped their authority in Ligue1 after that huge investments. But they need to prove themselves on European stage too if they are to achieve status of Manchester united, Real Madrid, Barcelona. But are they good enough to do so?
                      PSG dominated domestic league in 2012-13 season. They had spent £270million since 2011-12 season which includes players like Ibrahimovic, Thiago silva, Thiago Motta, Lavezzi, Veratti, sirigu, pastore. They won the league with a 12 points ahead of arch rivals Marseille. Zlatan was key for their success in the previous season as he scored 30 goals. Under Ancelotti they did a considerable job in champions’ league last year losing in round of 8 to Barcelona. But PSG were the better team in both home and away games and dominated most of the match. Messi’s inspirational performance after coming from bench in second half halted the run of PSG as the Spanish club won on away goals. But the way they dominated Barcelona in both games is talkative point as game plan to counter attack paid off.
                    PSG has the every resource to dominate Europe. They has the world’s dreadful strike force with Cavani and Zlatan. Both are known for their powerful strikes and acrobatic goals. They has the ability to rip apart any defense. Their midfield, though, didn’t have quality of Bayer or Barcelona, has the ability to dominate. Thiago Motta who had 90% pass accuracy last season is doing fine job this season. Then you have Marco Verratti, without doubt one of the rising stars of Europe. The 20 year old is already imposing himself in PSG. They also have academy talents likes of Rabiot, Ongenda and Coman. And there is no need to specially prescribe talent of Moura, Lavezzi, Pastore. All this to say PSG have exceptional midfield,, which helps greatly in the creation of remarkable team.
                  The main thing which PSG has advantage over other big heads in Europe is their defense. Alex is a world class defender, having played at Chelsea as star defender. They also has the current best defender in the world, Thiago silva. His interventions are flawless, but what shows that he is his exceptional is his ability to pass under pressure. You rarely see silva clearing the ball as he always looks to pass the ball to launch the counter attack. Alex and silva pair managed to score five goals last year. They also bought young talent Marquinhos who already proved himself in the absence of Thiago silva. Their only weak point is right back, Jallet. His technical ability seems par. there is Vand der Viel, but people believe best is yet to come from him.
                    PSG has the exceptional team, but they need to perform consistent. They struggled to break deadlock against Plzen in Champions League but eventually won, thanks to zlatan. They now has the true challengers in domestic leagues as the rice of Monaco made Ligue1 more interesting. They need to be more consistent if they were to dominate Europe.
