Group A:

Manchester United produced arguably the best performance under David Moyes as they destroyed Bayer Leverkusen away from home by 5-0 to qualify for the knockout stage. Shaktar Donetsk also won 4-0 at home to Real Sociedad to take second place in the group. Manchester have 11 points while Shaktar have 8 and Bayer have 7.

Group B:

Real Madrid produced another masterful display of attacking football as they defeated Galatasaray 4-1 to win the group. Real Madrid were missing their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo through injury and they played most of the game with 10 men after Sergio Ramos’ 26th minute red card but even then produced a very good performance to underline their title credentials this season. Juventus won 3-1 at home against FC Copenhagen and thereby taking firm control of the 2nd place behind Real. Real have 13 points while Juventus have 6 and Galatasaray and Copenhagen are on 4 points each.

Group C:

Paris St Germain are through to the knockout stage after a last grasp Edinson Cavani goal helped them edged past Olympiakos by 2-1. Benfica got an invaluable 3-2 win away at Anderlecht and both Benfica and Olympiakos are now on 7 points with the last round to go.

Group D:

Bayern Munich shrugged off an injury crisis to beat CSKA Moscow 3-1 in Russia and extend their winning Champions League streak to a record 10 matches. Manchester City were also in fine form as they defeated Viktoria Plzen 4-2 to keep their hopes of topping the group alive.
