English Premier League Match Day 14: Suarez scores 4, Arsenal marches on as Manchester United stumbles again at home

Arsenal march towards their first Premier League title since 2004 season continued as they easily dispatched Hull City 2-0 courtesy of goals from Nicklas Bendtner and Mesut Ozil. Bendtner scored his first goal for Arsenal in almost three years while Ozil continued his great form for the Gunners. 2nd placed Chelsea kept pressure on Arsenal by dramatically winning 4-3 at bottom club Sunderland while Manchester City maintained their spot in the 3rd place by winning 3-2 away at West Bromwich Albion. Liverpool returned back to winning ways as they defeated Norwich 5-1 highlighted by a master class performance from Luis Suarez who scored four goals and assisted the other one.

Defending champions Manchester United’s poor form this season continued as they stumbled to a 1-0 defeat at home against manager David Moyes’ old club Everton. Elsewhere Newcastle United’s run of four consecutive wins in the Premier League came to an end following their 3-0 defeat at Swansea while Tottenham Hotspur won at Fulham 2-1 to somewhat ease the pressure on Andre Villas Boas.

Crystal Palace moved out of the last place following their 1-0 win over West Ham United in Tony Pulis’ first match in charge of Crystal Palace. Stoke City and Cardiff City played out a drab 0-0 draw while Southampton were defeated 2-3 at home against Aston Villa.
