Hail to thee Mitchell!!!
Australian Cricket fans are rejoicing beyond joys. One of their best bowlers has returned to form and is going through an absolute purple patch, bowling with such vigor and pace. He has been bowled beautifully already in just 3 innings of English batting resulting in 16 wickets. 16 wickets in 3 innings says a lot in itself, but the true reality is that Johnson has produced spells that can only be described as world class display of test cricket bowling.
On a pitch that wasn’t supposed to let bowlers bowl at very fast speed, Johnson was the only player who consistently crossed the 150 km/h barrier. Johnson has single handedly put the Aussies in the driver’s seat for the rest of the match. With two days to go, they already have a lead of 530 runs, there is no way England can win this, and if johnson can continue his scintillating form then, there is no way England will not lose this.
The current Ashes so far has been very mediocre, I would say. It looks like the Aussies are playing a team that is probably below Bangladesh in terms of Test Cricket level. Specially with the way England are playing, I am pretty sure that Bangladesh would have definitely performed better than the English. This is also the batsmen fault for not being able to maintain or sustain a partnership long enough to set a decent score on the board.
Next up is Perth, which is incidentally Mitchell’s home ground and is known for its pacy and fast pitch. Perth is the same place where Sachin Tendulkar announced his genius in front of the world. England probably will have to find a miracle to save them from the Johnson carnage. Carnage is what it is, in plain and simple terms.
Johnson was twice on a hattrick today. He also hit England hard after lunch, by taking 5-16 in just 5 overs. That was a real hard blow for them, something they weren’t able to recover from.
My advice is to sit at home, skip everything you are doing and watch Johnson show his magic. And might I comment, that his moustache is just fabulous.
