Aaron Finch Century drives Australia to a Comfortable victory.

The first ODI between the touring England and Australia turned out to be an another one quite one-sided towards Australia, as they trashed the tourists by 6 wickets and 26 balls to spare.

Earlier, the English Captain won the toss and decided to bat first. And as usual, the English got to a worst possible start, as Alastair Cook fell after just 4 balls, scoring a 4. Ian Bell looked quite aggressive right from the start. Joe Root fell soon to Mckay, as he was trapped in front of the wicket. Then came in Ballance, in whom Ian Bell found a stable partner.

But even Bell soon fell, and it looked like another English batting collapse. But Morgan and Ballance steadied the ship. While Morgan was the aggressive one, Ballance looked after consolidating the crease at the other end. Morgan fell for 50 off just 47, whereas Ballance top scored for the Poms with a steady 79. Thanks to a couple of cameos from wicket-keeper Jos Butler and Tim Bresnan, England ended up with a competitive score of 269.

A good opening partnership was expected from the Australian openers, and they were spot on with their job. Thanks to a couple of sloppy dropped chances for each of the openers, both of them made merry off the bowlers. Aaron Finch dominated the scoring, whereas the in-form Warner played the second fiddle. None of the English bowlers troubled any batsmen in particular. Warner fell after scoring a good 65. But Finch continued his innings. Australia faced a small hiccup when Watson went for a duck. But captain Clarke came to the rescue, as Australia continued to sail towards victory.

Finch and Clarke were removed by Stokes and Bresnan respectively, but the match was already lost. Finally, Bailey and Maxwell finished off the match for Australia.

Another dominating performance from the Aussies. Finch was declared the man of the match for his 121.
