Breaking News: AC Milan sacks Massimiliano Allegri
Massimiliano Allegri became the latest high profile manager to be fired this season. AC Milan sacked their head coach in the wake of the Rossoneri’s disastrous 4-3 loss against lowly Sassuolo on Sunday.
Milan currently sit at a miserable 11th position in Serie A with 22 points from 19 games, having won just five games in the first half of the season, and their poor form prompted the AC Milan hierarchy to dismiss Allegri.
Allegri took charge of Milan in the summer of 2010 and immediately guided the Rossoneri to the Serie A title in his first season at the helm. However, Milan had to settle for second place the following campaign, while they came in only third last term.
AC Milan’s assistant coach Mauro Tassotti has been given the caretaker role until an appropriate replacement has been found.
