Can Gunners comeback after being Demolished at Anfield:-

It took only 20 minutes by Liverpool to eradicate Arsenal in their home ground Anfield. If we look at the score line we conclude that the match was completely one sided as The Reds hammered away The Gunners by a huge margin of 4 goals, well the score was 5-1. Now the question remains can Arsenal comeback after such a humiliation in the hands of Liverpool. Can they finally silence their critics rather will they break the quest of finally winning the Barclays English Premier League or silverware which they last won on 2005 and finally will they be able to bring the smile back in the faces of their fans.
It seems so long ago when Arsenals fan booed their team off the pitch on a glorious summer’s day last August. But the Gunners have really stepped up this season, optimism is high on Emirates Stadium at the moment, and rightly so. Some seven wins in a row combined with 10 consecutive away wins since March of last season and some 19 goals scored with just eight conceded this term have put a different slant on things. Ozil’s capture has revitalized weary fans, and, from a position where fourth place seemed a long shot, many now expect a tilt at the title.
Let’s face it, Arsenal haven’t been playing well for weeks. Remember the game against Southampton? That first half could have been just like the one against Liverpool if Southampton had’ve been a better side. The defeat at the hands of Liverpool was painful, but it was probably exactly what Arsenal needed.
Liverpool mauled the Gunners but to me it was a wakeup call for Wengers side to pull their socks up and get ready for the next matches. Arsenal forgot how to do everything – pass, move, defend, tackle, score, shoot, none of it meant anything to a side who conceded as many goals in the first 20 minutes of that game as they did in the previous 900 minutes. There are some days when things go wrong and there are some days when you simply have a bad day at the office. Then there are days like Saturday when the entire team let you down. Thankfully, those days are few and far between, but when they happen, they hit hard. Some fans, right now, are losing their minds. They are calling for Wenger out. They are demanding blood sacrifices. They are losing all sense of perspective.
Arsenal has been trundling along lately, doing just enough to get the points. Facing sides like Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and City, trundling was never going to be enough. Arsenal needed a wake-up call and that’s exactly what they got at Anfield. For those fans that fear a 5-1 defeat at the hands of The Reds have shattered the hopes of winning the title but Arsenal suffered the same plight against Aston Villa and Manchester City. But every time they have bounced back. They lost to Villa, they backed themselves and were unbeaten for 11 games, they were crushed by Manchester City but then again they fight back and were unbeaten in 9 games. According to me result is not the crisis as it will be painted in front of the world.
This result, as painful as it is to bear, could very well be the making of Arsenal’s season and push them on towards the title. They should completely trust their ability and stay calm instead of pressing the panic button. Their hunger is evident on the field, and they will not go down easily since they believe in their ability now more than ever.
Bring on Manchester United, the Gunners are ready should be the slogan for Arsenal and their fans right now.
