Can Liverpool net the Big Fish: - (Premier League)

We are talking about does Liverpool stand a chance or are they in hunt for this year’s Barclays Premier League title. Well, if we look at the recent results, The Reds are serious title contenders. Let’s face it Liverpool were a better side against The Gunners. The score (5-1) simply suggested that they completely humiliated the Wengers side. Furthermore they showed the hunger to win against Fulham away from home and eventually grinded out a win (3-2). The character which was shown by them on Wednesday was quite remarkable. With momentum in their hands Liverpool has every right to believe that they are serious title contenders.
Brendan Rodgers warned the trio of clubs at the top of the Premier League that Liverpool is mounting a challenge for the title after his side moved to within four points of the leaders with a stoppage-time victory against Fulham on Wednesday night. While Arsenal were dropping points and missed the chance to go back to the top after their goalless draw at the Emirates against Manchester United and Manchester City’s match with Sunderland fell victim to the high winds buffeting the north-west, Liverpool, initially unsettled by the home side’s energetic and industrious approach, twice equalized and rallied at the end to fuel hopes of securing a first league championship since 1990.
Liverpool is one of the renowned English clubs. They are 5 time Uefa Champions League winner and have won 19 times Premier league, but for few years the club of that stature was not featuring in Champions League i.e. they were not in the top four in the Premier League. This is really disappointing for Liverpool and their die hard supporters.  After the departure of Benitez they just didn’t have clicked as a team. But after the appointment of Brendan Rodgers the side is eventually emerging as winners. Most importantly the players and the fans have really believed in Rodgers.
After finishing seventh in Rodger’s first campaign last season and with competition arguably tougher than it has ever been to claim a Champions League berth it would represent a huge achievement for the former Swansea boss. It is fine for fans and for Rodgers to hope that they can still have a part to play further up the table, but ultimately they simply cannot match the depth of quality of Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea. At this stage of the rebuilding of the squad from the mess it was left in following the change in ownership and subsequent reckless spending under Kenny Dalglish and Damien Comolli, it is no disgrace to be in such a commendable position.
With a player of genuine world-class ability already in place in Luis Suarez, Rodgers has added other elements of a potential title-winning team in Daniel Sturridge and Mamadou Sakho. He also took the bold move of jettisoning long-standing but for too long under-performing No.1 Pepe Reina and signing the more consistent Simon Mignolet. His coaching ability and man-management have also shone through in rebuilding the career of Jordan Henderson after the midfielder had looked set to forever be defined by the size of the transfer fee that took brought him from Sunderland.
This season their striking duo of SUAREZ and STURRIDGE is really impressive. Well if we are talking about Liverpool one name which eventually hits your mind is Steven Gerrad – captain perfect. The Liverpool talisman is one of the best midfielder, true gladiator for his club.  The Premier League title remains the one missing domestic medal in Gerrard’s illustrious career and he will simply go out for it.
Lastly, for THE REDS they will never WALK ALONE.
