The most underrated stars:-

The most underrated stars:-

They may not sell many t-shirts. They may not be particularly handsome or good-looking. But they get the job done, and they get it done well. Whether for lack of media coverage, playing in a mediocre team or simply being overly loyal to their clubs these players have passed under the radar time and again. Even when they make it to the big time they often aren’t guaranteed a first team place, often being criminally underpaid and in some cases criminally underused. It’s time we lifted the veil on these diamonds in the rough, the players that clubs have been trying to keep secret at all costs from other clubs, the players the average football fan deserves to see play at least once in your football supporting lives.
1) Darren Fletcher
I think 128 appearances for Manchester United and winning every single trophy that an English based player can win by 25 (bar the silly UEFA Cup) squad member or not, must say something about the player’s own abilities. Performances against Chelsea in 2005, Roma (7-1) in 2007, were magnificent. He may not be first choice but when the suspensions, fixtures and injuries pile up, the true test of a club over a season is the players it can still field and for that Fletcher’s role. I’ve begun to take a liking to Fletcher over the years. He’s humble, professional and doesn’t feel like the world revolves around him.  the big question remains ‘can he step up to the plate?’ And the answer I believe is ‘yes he can’.
2) Bastian Oczipka
The former Germany U-20 player isn’t your ordinary left-back. His offensive play and precise crosses help him create goals, and the twenty-four year old has blossomed at Frankfurt, as compared to his performances during his days at Bayer Leverkusen, where he struggled to find his form and would regularly be loaned out. He is not currently on the German national squad for reasons best known to manager Joachim Löw, but is looking to propel his team through the Europa League this year.
3) Javi Fuego
He is an absolute beast in his defensive midfield role. One of the best tacklers in Europe, Javi Fuego’s ability to impose himself upon opponent’s attacks is pivotal for his team. In the 2011/12 season Fuego was averaging a phenomenal 7.1 interceptions per game, and winning 4.4 tackles per game, which among Europe’s elite was one of the best. As a ball winning midfielder he has the perfect attributes, and as he continues to impose himself in a Gennaro Gattuso type form fans may begin to give higher value towards his contributions on the pitch.
4) Cicnho
Brazilian right-back Cicinho oozes class, and made 27 La Liga appearances in his debut season with Sevilla last year before getting injured and having to undergo knee surgery. Exceptionally strong in defence, he has shown the ability to make attacking runs forward too, but has never donned the Brazilian jersey. Like compatriot Dani Alves, who too played for Sevilla at one point, Cicinho wants to continue to make a mark with the club, where he is a star in his own right.
5) Javier Hernandez
Chicharito has been a prolific goal scorer for Manchester United, last season averaging a goal every 106 minutes - which was better than Robin van Persie. Despite this ruthless goal scoring record he still seems undervalued in the Manchester United camp, as he has only received a handful of appearances under the new management. His amazing anticipation and incomprehensible off the ball movement has out-witted defenders and given Manchester United a new dimension in attack. However, he has been overshadowed by Wayne Rooney and van Persie and as a result has not received the amount of attention he deserves.
