Can Real Madrid still dream of the treble?
Lionel Messi blew the La Liga title race wide open when the unstoppable Argentina forward netted a hat-trick in a 4-3 comeback win for the champions at 10-man Real Madrid in an action-paced ‘Clasico’ on Sunday.
Real Madrid’s loss to Sevilla in their very next question raised the eyebrows whether they can win the treble or not. But with Real Madrid just three points behind leaders Atlético Madrid, with a Barcelona vs Atlético remaining, Madrid can win the La Liga.
Next, is the Champions League where they face Broussia Dortmound in the quarter-finals. Looking at Dortmound’s recent form, Real might win this easily, the next two matches, the semis and the final would definitely would be difficult ones but Real might go all the way and win the Champions League. Presently, the only team which looks a hiccup in Real’s winning way is, none other than the defending champs, Bayern Munich.
Lastly, is the Copa Del Rey, where Real are already in the final and face Barcelona. Keeping it simple, Barcelona is not that strong as they were two years ago, now they are without their first choice goal-keeper. If they play with all their potentials in the final, they will win it.
Also, Real Madrid assistant coach Zinedine Zidane feels they can win the Treble this season.
"Of course you should discuss the possibility of winning the treble," Zizou told El Confidencial."When you play at Real Madrid you know what the objectives are. We are in three competitions and we are there."We must go on, knowing that it is very difficult because there are very good teams. If you remain focused and working well, we can achieve important things."
So, as the topic of the blog say’ " Can Real Madrid still dream of the treble?" the answer, Yes they can.
