UEFA Champions League Quarter Finals 1st leg: Real Madrid v/s Dortmund, PSG v/s Chelsea
After a pulsating Day one action of the 1st leg of the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League, the 1st leg continues tonight with Real Madrid welcoming Borussia Dortmund to Santiago Bernabeu with an eye on their 10th European crown while PSG are at home against Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea. Last night was an engrossing affair with the underdogs outwitting the favorites. Atletico Madrid produced a defensive masterclass as they were able to hold off the Barca onslaught and return home with a precious 1-1 away draw while Manchester United proved the naysayers wrong as they hold on to a priceless 1-1 draw against the high-flying Bayern Munich team and with that atleast keeping a hope to vanquish their German opponents.
Tonight Real Madrid would have revenge on their minds as they take on Borussia Dortmund who defeated them in last season’s semi-finals. Real Madrid’s march to the La Liga crown has been severely dented by two back to back defeats and they would want to ensure that no such let up happen in the Champions League. They know quite well that they have to produce a great performance against the Germans in order to gain back the support of their fickle-minded fans.
Also tonight, Paris St Germain face Chelsea away in what promises to be a cracking showdown between two of the richest clubs in World football. PSG would love to go one better than last season’s quarter final appearance but they know very well that it won’t be easy to navigate past the willy Jose Mourinho’s team.
