In February this year, changes to the governance of the International Cricket Council (ICC), handed the majority of the powers and revenue to the sport’s ‘big three’ nations—India, Australia and England. Wisden, which has put retired legend Sachin Tendulkar on the cover of its 2014 Cricketers’ Almanack, has criticized the move, saying that international cricket was set for a future of ‘colonial-style divide and rule’.
