IPL 7:Match Report CSK vs DD:"Munde " Delhi ke Backfoot Pe

It was business as usual for the Chennai Super Kings who romped to a comfortable 96-run victory over the Daredevils. Chennai won the toss and decided to bat first on the surface which had a tinge of grass( ‘Rawalpindi Express’ was licking his lips in the studio).The ‘bunch of sledgehammers’ got them to a total of 177. Dhoni’s lieutenant Raina top scored with 56 off just 40 deliveries. Except Mccullum everybody chipped in with significant contributions. Delhi was successful in restricting the dynamites from Chennai during the Powerplay overs. But once Raina got set he stepped up a gear and got Chennai back on track after a sedate start. After he got out with the score reading 108, it was the Faf and Mahi show as they were simply irresistible tonking the bowling all over the ground. The Super Kings managed to score 58 off the last four overs. Unadkat was the pick of the bowlers with the figures of 4-32.
In the second innings, Delhites got off to a horror start thanks to some aerobics from Du plessis and Raina(plucked off some outstanding catches) and also some probing bowling from Pandey(who replaced Nehra) and Hilfenhaus(who replaced Bravo). There was no resurrection this time around from Duminy as he fell to Smith for not too many. After his dismissal Kathik and Co. collapsed like a house of cards for 96. Ashwin and Jadeja reaped the benefits of the efforts of the fast bowlers as they each got 2-wickets a piece (without breaking a sweat!!)
The Daredevils without KP looked listless with the bat.  It looked like a car without engine. Yes, 177 was a daunting total to chase but one would have thought they should have at least made a feast out of it considering the fact that they achieved a similar sort of total against a strong KKR bowling line-up.
Suresh Raina was awarded the Man-of –the-Match award for his brilliant all-round performance.
Daredevils need to quickly find their feet or otherwise the demons of the last year would again come back to haunt them. On the other hand, CSK look stronger and stronger with every season. It is going to require something special to stop this team from achieving a hat-trick of IPL crowns.
