Argentina vs Bosnia & Herzegovina: Can the debutants spoil the Argentine carnival?
Finally it is time for Argentina and Lionel Messi to showcase their potential in the World Cup. But they are likely to face a stern test against the World Cup newcomers Bosnia & Herzegovina. Bosnia & Herzegovina might be inexperienced but they have enough quality to trouble the two time World Cup winners.
Argentina have arguably the best attack of the World Cup with the ‘Fab Four’ comprising of Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Gonzalo Higuain and Angel di Maria although Gonzalo Higuain might start on the bench tonight as he has not recovered fully from an ankle injury. If Argentina has an enviable attak then Bosnia & Herzegovina are no pushovers either in term of attacking strength as they have the fearsome strike partner of Edin Dzeko and Vedad Ibisevic who had plundered 18 goals between themselves in the qualifying campaign.
One area of concern for both the teams is the porous defense and it promises to be a goal fest tonight at the historic Maracana stadium.
Probable Line-up:
Argentina: Romero, Rojas, Fernandez, Garay, Zabaleta, Maschereno, Gago, di Maria, Messi, Lavezzi, Aguero
Bosnia & Herzegovina: Begovic, Kolasinac, Spahic, Bickacic, Maujdza,
Medunjanin, Lulic, Pjanic, Misimovic, Ibisevic, Dzeko
